About

I received in invitation to Slacker Astronomy on the Picnic Hill in Space CoLab. The topic tonight is about observing from the backyard with amature clubs, and some of the best observatories in the world. Dr. Welch, is answering questions and has an extensive knowledge of supernovae, dark matter, and the LMC ... what is LMC? He's spent time on the MACHO project (not the disco song) which is Masive Compact Halo Object. Better then WIMP I guess (Weakly Interactivng Massive Particle). These MACHO are one form of dark matter. He's tried many ways to identify the question of what dark matter is. Even multiplying seven MACHOs with six WIMPs (but you wouldn't like the answer).
